Adult Chiropractic Care

New clients come to our office with a variety of different health goals. Many feel great and desire to continually enhance their overall health status. Others come in with specific concerns that they'd like addressed. While chiropractic isn't a "treatment" for any symptom or condition - specific adjustments when indicated, do improve the body's healing ability and health potential.

Over our years in practice, we've had patients report improvement in the following conditions as a result of chiropractic analysis and adjustments:

  • Back Pain
  • Pregnant Mothers
  • Diet + Nutrition
  • Tingling + Numbness
  • Asthma
  • Neck Pain + Whiplash
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Weight Loss
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Postural Abnormalities
  • Migraines + Headaches
  • Pediatric Health
  • Fatigue
  • Acid Reflux Disease
  • Mood + Stress

Pediatric Chiropractic Care

The earlier you start your child on chiropractic care, the more likely they are to develop optimally and prevent common problems from occurring. Taking care of the spine and nervous system with regular checks is similar to having regular dental checks for good oral health.

Just as you can have a cavity and not know it, you can have a subluxation in your body that compromises your nervous system without realizing it. By being checked regularly, we can find and correct subluxations early, avoiding symptoms that often occur from months, years and decades of neglect in adults.

Some of our pediatric practice members have sought our help with particular conditions, such as:

  • ADD/ADHD
  • Asthma
  • Constipation
  • Seizures
  • Allergies
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Ear infections
  • Sensory processing disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Colic and reflux
  • Headaches
  • Torticollis

Acupuncture

History of Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of conditions. It is a form of tradition Chinese Medicine (TCM) that involves the use of very thin, flexible needles at specific points on the body to elicit a therapeutic effect. Acupuncture may be used on its own, or in combination with other natural healing modalities. In TCM, this can include herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha (scraping), e-stim and more.

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective for many conditions ranging from acute to chronic in nature. Below is a list of just some of the conditions acupuncture can help:
  • Allergic Rhinitis
  • Biliary Colic
  • Depression
  • Dysmenorrhea
  • Headaches/Migraines
  • Sciatica
  • Stroke
  • Hypertension
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Labor Induction
  • Leukopenia
  • Malposition of Fetus
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Bell’s Palsy
  • Nausea/Vomiting
  • Musculoskeletal Pain
  • Postoperative Pain
  • Gastrointestinal Disorders (IBS, Crohn’s)
  • Facial Pain
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Periarthritis of the Shoulder

Benefits of Acupuncture

Acupuncture works naturally with your body to create its own optimal health state. It not only helps to decrease pain, but also helps to strengthen the immune system, increase energy, decrease stress, and get you living closer to your 100%.

Because acupuncture works with your own system, there are virtually little to no side-effects. Often, clients find acupuncture to be a very relaxing and enjoyable therapeutic experience.

What to Expect for Your First Appointment

It’s best to complete your intake forms prior to arrival. During your initial visit, a comprehensive review of your health will be performed by our Doctor of Acupuncture. At that time, we’ll go over the Doctor’s recommendations for your care, and answer any questions you may have before proceeding with your services for that day.

Our acupuncturist will select specific acupuncture points based on your health history and goals, as well as your TCM tongue and pulse diagnosis. Most typically, needles are used for your session, however, other forms of TCM, such as moxibustion, e-stim, cupping, etc. may also be used to assist in treatment.

Generally, clothes that are loose fitting and comfy are worn during your session. If easier, gowns and/or appropriate draping may also be used.

Once treatment is finished, our acupuncturist will go over follow-up care and future treatment plans and recommendations. Your care recommendations and frequency are all customized based on each clients’ unique needs and goals. Plan on your initial session lasting 60-90 minutes. Follow-up sessions are typically 45-60 minutes in length.

Pregnancy

A woman’s body goes through many changes during pregnancy. Even for a healthy woman in great physical health, these changes cause postural and structural changes that are important for her body to be able to adapt to. Because of this, chiropractic is crucial. When indicated, adjustments help to rebalance your spine, pelvis and nervous system (Webster Technique). This not only allows for a healthier and easier pregnancy for mom, but just as importantly (many moms would even say more importantly) this allows excellent communication between your brain and your developing baby. We hear often about what to eat, what not to eat, what supplements to take and how crucial it is to get enough sleep, but one aspect of health and the baby's development that is often forgotten is how well the woman's body is able to support the baby's development through great neurological connection. Chiropractic adjustments optimize the environment in which your baby is growing and developing and we want to help your body provide the absolute best environment possible!

Softwave Stem Cell Therapy

Have that "one spot" that you can always point to as being an irritation? If you have old areas of irritation or injury, areas that experience repetitive injury, or joints where you experience chronic pain, we can help.

Softwave - Tissue Regeneration Therapy - is a natural, non-injectable form of Stem Cell Therapy that up-regulates your body's natural ability to actually heal and resolve these issues. Stem cells are always dormant in the body, ready to go anywhere that they’re needed. We simply jumpstart this healing process and guide the body to start working on those areas of concern.

How Softwave Stem Cell Therapy Works

This therapy uses sound waves traveling at 3355mph to stimulate your body's stem cells, exosomes, growth factors and ATP. Your brain reacts by sending stem cells to the area treated to repair damaged tissue naturally and without any new micro-trauma. Added benefits include reduced inflammation, regeneration of nerves, and increased vascularization and blood circulation..

The vibration and frequency of the Softwaves on the cell membranes, compresses the cell first, then expands it by 10%. That displaces oxidative agents off the cell membrane and helps increase cell membrane permeability, as well as sheds micro vesicles & exosomes. This in turn calls for other helper and repair cells to come to the treated area WITHOUT damaging the tissue.

You Won't Have To Spend Thousands

The typical, injectable form of stem cell therapy can cost several thousand dollars for a single treatment. While often effective, this also creates new microtrauma from the invasive nature of the procedure. Options like cortisone shots don’t always work, typically require multiple rounds, and only address pain and inflammation - rather than bringing stem cells for true tissue regeneration and repair. With Softwave Therapy, protocols typically include 8-10 treatments to get maximum and lasting results. Most clients notice improvement within the first few sessions.
